The Texas Long Range Plan for Technology's goal is for Texas students to become proficient in the four domains of Foundations, Information Acquisiton, Problem Solving with Technology Tools, and Communication by the end of the Eighth Grade. The STaR Chart data for Kountze Middle School over the last three school years shows that while we are headed in the right direction and are classified, for the most part, as "Developing Tech" in the four key areas, we need to continue striving for more growth in the use and integration of technology on our campus in all content areas. The data shows that our greatest weakness is in the key area of "Educator Preparation and Development." Therefore, the purpose of this site is to open up lines of communication to discuss how we can become more prepared as educators to use technology in the classroom and how we can more effectively integrate its use into our curriculum.
